In The Mix with AL3 TB!: What got you started in the deejay business what led you to a career like this? AL3: Listening to Mike Reynolds a.k.a. "The Soul of The Valley" and listening to Grandmaster Flash on the wheels of steel. TB!: Who were some of your biggest influences as you got started? AL3: Mike Reynolds, Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, Tony G. & Joe Cooley. TB!: And now, who are some of the bigger names in your business that you follow and who inspire you to do better? AL3: DJ Jazzy Jeff still inspires me to do better and people that talk trash in the industry always seem to motivate me to do better. TB!: Whats your day job – is deejaying your only gig? AL3: I have been blessed with the ability to not have a day job, with exception of when I was 16 and I worked at McDonalds, which was the best job I have ever had, since it taught me that I never wanted to be subjected to having to flip burgers in order to make a living. TB!: What else would you do, if not deejaying, for a career? AL3: Marketing consultant. TB!: What music is in your personal CD player/mp3 player right now? AL3: Frank Sinatra, really, I'm not joking! |
