In The Mix with Comedian Kyle! TB!: Describe your first gig, the very first time you were in front of a crowd, doing what you do. Kyle: I opened for The Manhattans in New Jersey – I was scared to death TB!: Who are some of your favorite colleagues – people who you like to listen to when you aren’t entertaining? Kyle: Bo Bo Lamb, Corey Holcomb, Tony Roberts, Mike Epps TB!: What do you do for fun when you have down time? Kyle: Love going to the movies. TB!: Who is the most famous person you’ve met? How did that meeting take place? Kyle: Patti LaBelle – I was the House Comic at her nightclub "Chez LaBelle’s" in Philadelphia TB!: What’s your take on where comedy has changed over the years? Where do you think it will go over the next five years? Kyle: Like anything else comedy has different facets/genres. I feel there will always be an audience for each genre. Adult, Family, and everything in between – there’s even gay comedy night now! Heeeeeey! Jus playin’! But like I said, you gotta be able to relate. Long live comedy and long live the comic! In the next five years comedy and comics will continue to rule – in clubs, the movies, on TV, DVDs, and CDs and the Internet. TB!: Describe your worst gig – the time when you were NOT very entertaining and the crowd let you know it! Kyle: My second taping of "Showtime at the Apollo" They called me to tape on short notice. My mama and pops flew in quick, so they could attend the taping – lotta money spent!! Well I bombed like a B-52 over Afghanistan. I had a deaf person in the audience booing me and she couldn’t even hear the jokes!! TB!: How do you know when you are "on a roll" – what tells you the crowd is in the palm of your hand? Kyle: When you hear that HOWLING laughter – that laughter that trails off (wooooooo!!!) And you see people lean forward while laughing and they give each other high fives and slap each other on the back! TB!: Where would be the place where you have always dreamed you would perform before you check out of this world. Kyle: I would want to be on a level like Chris Rock and tape a one-man HBO Special and also go back and conquer the Apollo!! That would be the ultimate redemption! Stay Tuned.
