Dark Vader

In The Mix with Dark Vader!

TB!: Who are some of your favorite colleagues – people who you like to listen to when you aren’t entertaining?

Vader: Phlava, Fashen, JU-ice

TB!: What do you do for fun/ entertainment/ down time?

Vader: I watch CSI with my youngest son.

TB!: Who is the most famous person you’ve met? How did that meeting take place?

Vader: I met LL Cool J on Memorial Day Weekend about 1996 when I did a last minute equipment set-up for a Majik 106.9 fundraiser.

TB!: What’s your take on where music has changed over the years? Where do you think it will go over the next five years?

Vader: Things that weren’t allowed to be said on the radio/tv just a few years ago are commonplace now. Certain words and phrases are acceptable now. Sex and violence has become a common theme. Artists are not creating ballads as much as before. I think that sex and violence is going to continue to become more prominent in the music.

TB!: Describe your worst gig – the time when you were NOT very entertaining and the crowd let you know it!

Vader: I was working at an event and I didn’t have the right genre of music with me. The new Serrato will make that problem obsolete as you can easily take all of your music with you all of the time.

TB!: How do you know when you are "on a roll" – what signs do you look for that you are controlling the crowd and they are in the palm of your hand.

Vader: When the people standing against the wall are partying like the people on the dance floor!

TB!: If you could perform anywhere you choose, where would be the top - the place where you have always dreamed you would perform before you check out of this world.

IVader: I would love to perform on live tv, especially on BET.
